VOTER REQUIREMENTS

A person shall be entitled to vote if he/she is:
 (1)  a citizen of the United States;
 (2)  eighteen (18) years of age;
 (3)  a resident of the school district for a period of 30 days preceding the election which he/she offers to vote;
 (4)  registered with the school district or appears on a Nassau County Voter's Registration List.

WHO MUST REGISTER?

Only residents who have not registered or not voted in a school district election or a general election in the last four years.  If you need to register, you may do so through the Nassau County Board of Elections, 400 County Seat Drive, Mineola, 9:00 am - 4:30 pm daily, now through May 10, 2013 or, in person, at The Wheatley School lobby, 11 Bacon Road, Old Westbury on May 9, 2013, 8:00 AM - Noon and on May 14, 2013, 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM.

ABSENTEE BALLOTS

Applications for Absentee Ballot may be obtained from the District Business Office located at The Wheatley School, 11 Bacon Road, Old Westbury, between 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, on school days or downloaded from this district website, www.ewsdonline.org. The District Clerk in the District Business Office must receive the Application for Absentee Ballot, no later than the close of business (4:00 PM) on May 14, 2013, if the ballot is to be mailed to the "absentee" voter.  If the ballot is to be personally delivered to the "absentee" voter, the District Clerk in the District Business Office must receive the Application for Absentee Ballot, no later than the close of business (4:00 PM) on May 20, 2013.  All completed ballots must be received by the Office of the District Clerk, no later than 5:00 PM on the day of election (May 21, 2013).
