The East Williston School District was founded on the premise that the education of our children must address both the mind and the body. Our District has a reputation for excellence. In order to maintain that reputation, the Board of Education with the support of our community residents, has continued to modernize and improve both the program and the environment in which our children are educated. Unfortunately however, as a result of the financial pressures facing the taxpayer on Long Island, we have not been able to keep pace with the needs of the athletic program in our district. We have been successful with continuing to expand the co-curricular athletic programs offered to our children but less than successful in keeping pace with the infrastructure needs of a quality athletics program. If you were to tour our three campuses, you will find that our locker room facilities, weight, strength and fitness training facilities, athletic equipment storage and maintenance facilities, fields, uniforms and equipment have not followed the same path of improvement and modernization as have our media centers and other areas in our District. The Wildcat Athletic Foundation has been founded to provide the financial support needed to address this fundamental need. Athletics infrastructure supports all of the athletic programs in the District. Locker rooms, weight, strength and fitness training facilities and equipment storage and maintenance facilities provide the necessary support for all of our athletic programming, whether men's or women's, baseball, basketball, cheerleading, dance, field hockey, tennis, soccer, wrestling or any other athletic opportunities provided to our children.
