My favorite part of the book so far is when Percy fights Echidna and Chimera. I liked how Echidna was disguised as a fat lady, and Chimera was a chuhuahua. It was strange when Percy fell into the river, and did not get wet at all. It was funny when the little girl was trying to tell her mother that a boy stepped out of a river dry, and her mother just kept saying, "That's nice, dear." |
My favorite part so far in the Lightning Theif is when Percy finds out his father is Poseidon. I new it was coming, but i just couldn't wait!!! i loved that part!!! The way Chiron said it was really powerful. And when all the clues add up! Percy's cuts getting healed! The water from the toilet... it all was leading up to it!!! THat was my favorite part so far in the Lightning Theif. |
My favorite part was when they fought Medussa. It was soooo cool! He sliced her head off. I also like how he used her reflection to kill her. I also like that the author Rick Riordan used the myth of "Perseus and the Gorgon" in the fight. Percy reflected a ball to slice Medussa's head off. Perseus in the myth used his sheild to slice Medussa's head off. |
In the book The Lightning Thief my favorite part so far was when Percy and his friends went on the bus and then the Furies, the three worst monsters from the underworld, attacked them and the the bus blew up.This was my favorite part because I thought that it had a lot of action and that was the part that I couldn't put the book down. This part also made me want to keep on reading and then to see what happen. |
My favorite part part in THE LIGHTNING THIEF was when the went to Aunty Ems (A.K.A Medusa)Garden Nome Emporium and they figured out it was Medusa after Grover found a statue that looked like his uncle that actually was his uncle. They also figured out that she was Medusa was when Percy fell underneath her and he heard hissing sounds. Also, they figured it out when she took her hood off and they saw all those snakes in her head. The cool part was when Percy sliced Medusa's head off. |
My favorite part of the book, was when, Percy, was at the museum. Percy was told to go inside to talk to his teacher, Mrs. Dodds, at the museum after pushing Nancy into water. When he went inside, he found that his teacher had been turned into a birdlike animal. His Latin teacher, Mr. Brunner, threw Percy a pen in which turned into a sword. He used the sword to swing at Mrs. Dodds, then vaporized her. I thought it was funny when he went back outside and nobody from his school knew who Mrs. Dodds was. |
So far, my favorite part of the book was when Percy went to Aunty Em's and figured out that the "M" stands for Medusa. I thought it was funny that Grover's uncle turned out to be one of the statues Medusa turned to stone. Also, I liked how Medusa acted nice and sweet to Percy in the beginning and then revealed the snakes that were on the top of her head. I think Percy was smart too use a ball to see her reflection rather than actually looking Medusa in the eyes. I thought it was really cool when Percy sliced of Medusa's head. ( Although it was gross!! ) |
My favorite part in the book so far was (just like Alexa) when Percy found out who his dad was. Percy's dad was Posiedon and the way i thought Chiron said it was really dramatic and Chiron exclaimd what he does. He said that Posidon was "Earthshaker, Stormbringer, Father of Horses." I think that was a very big part in the book because now he knows that there are gods and goddeness out there. |
My favorite part in the book is when Percy finds out who is father is. I like this part because when is mom said that his dad is lost at sea, I had a feeling that is dad was Poseidon. When he found out that his dad was Poseidon, I was so happy. I wanted to know if I was correct. I was correct. I have enjoyed reading on and I know I will. |

So far in THE LIGHTNING THEIF the part that I enjoyed most was the part where Percy Grover and Anabeth were on the bus with the three furies because there was alot of action and fighting. Of coarce the good guys always win and that is what happened. I like when Mrs. Dods got here whip around ripetide and she knocked it out of percy's hand in an instant. |
My favorite part of The Lightning Thief so far, was when Percy fights the Minotaur in the beginning. That was my favorite part because it was the first part in the book with a lot of action and fighting. Also, Percy got the Minotaur's horn, which was one of his only objects with him at camp half-blood. Just like Crystal said, I couldn't put the book down. |
So far in the book my favorite part was when Percy faught the minotaur. That part had a lot of action and i love things that have to do with action. This part was also sad because Percys mom gets squished to death and was sent to the underworld to Hades. After that Percy was mad and he faught the minotaur and killed the beast. That part just dragged me into the book and it made me wanted to read more to see what would happen. I have enjoyed reading this book and i would reccomend it to anyone. |
My favorite part so far was when Percy, the Chimera, and Achidna were fighting. I enjoyed that part because it was exciting. I liked it when Percy had to fall into the water or die from the Chimera. That was my favorite part. |
So far, my favorite part in the book "The Lightning Thief" is when Percy, Annabeth, and Grover got to Aunty Em's Garden Gnome Emporium. It was funny when Percy said "Snack Bar"and Annanbeth replied saying"Snack Bar, as she agreed, then Grover said "Are you two crazy", "This place is weird". Percy and Annabeth ignored him. It was really weird when they statues of cement animals, cement children, even a cement satyr playing the pipes, which gave me and Grover the creeps. After that, Grover scream " Looks like my Uncle Ferdinand", which got me kind of wondering. It was also really weird when they saw a tall Middle Eastern women.After that, the women said " Children, it is late to be out this late", and after that Percy just said were apart of a circus caravan, which was funny. That is why this was my favorite part of the story , so far. |

This my favorite part so far because I like how he used the reflection off the crystal ball to see her instead of seeing her directly. I would have never thought of Aunty Em being Medusa. She was being so kind. I would agree with Percy to stay because it was the only shelter they had. That is why this part is my favorite part. |
My favorite part of the book so far is the game of capture the flag. I like this part a-lot because in this part Percy Jackson gets "Claimed" by his father. In the begining Percy is given a giant sheild and is sent to protect the creek which is also the barrier line. Since Percy soaked the Ares cabin with toilet water, the Ares cabin had a grudge against him, so Annabeth knew that the Ares cabin would go after him so she put him right in the middle of the feild. When the Ares cabin starts to attack him, he gets shoved into the creek. All of a sudden he feels this rush of power and he attacks the Ares cabin. Eventually he wins and then his team captures the flag. Since Percy had gotten hurt badly he fell into the water. All of his wounds started to heal. Then his father sends a signal. Which is a Trident. |
So far my favorite part of the book was when Percy's class went to the museum. I liked how he fought Mrs.Dodds with the sward. I also liked in that chapter when Nancy gets pushed into the fountain. It made me think that Poseidon was trying to protect and help Percy. |
