"You shall go west and face the god who has turned. You shall find what was stolen and see it safely returned. You shall be betrayed by one who calls you a friend. And you shall fail to save what matters most, in the end." What do you think this means? |
I think it means that Percy will go west, meet a new friend that will betray him by bringing him into the under world to Hades and loose his mother because she may have drank from the river Styx and forget the life she once had. |
I think this means he will complete his mission and one of his friends wiil betray him.
I think he also is going to kill a god. |
I think the Oracle means that Percy must go where Zeus has went to look for his lightning bolt .Percy will find what he stole which is the lightning bolt of Zeus and see it safely returned by someone other than him. When it says " You shall be betrayed by someone who calls you a friend", I think that means that Chiron because Chiron has been telling him what has happened at the path to the find the lightning bolt of Zeus. When it says "And you shall fail to save what matters most, in the end", I think that means that Percy will see the part that matters most to him and then not succeed to find that part. |
I think it means that, Percy will go to the underworld (since the underworld is in the west) then, Percy will face hades, and get the lightning bolt, and safely return it to Zues. I also think Annabeth will betray him because i think they will get into a fight planning out what they will do next. At the end i think Percy will fail getting Annabeth to be his friends again at the end. |
I think the Oracle might mean that Percy will have to face the god, Hades, because he wants to kill Percy. (He sent a hellhound.) Percy will find the Lightning Bolt that was stolen from Zeus, and safely return it to him. I think the friend that will betray Percy is Annabeth because her mother, Athena, is Percy's father, Poseidon's antagonist. To Percy, probably his mother matters most to him. I think that wat this means is that Percy will go to the west and face hades god of the under world. Then he will defeat hades and get the masterbolt back. Next i think he will be betrayed by a freind. I think the friend might be Annabeth because she saids that theri parents were rivals and they should never be together. Lastly i think he will fail to save his mom from the underworld beause to him his mom matters the most!!!!! |

I think the oracle is saying that Percy will go to the under world and find something. Something like Zeus's lighting bolt and safely returnes it back to Zeus. I think "You shall be betrayed by one who calls you a friend. And you shall fail to save what matters most, in the end", also means that 1 of Percy's friends will eventually betray him and in the end, they wont be friends anymore.

I think that when Oracle said this to Percy it meant not good things will happen. I think this means percy will go west. While she is going west she will meet a friend. That friend and Percy will probably try to do something and it will turn out to be failure. I hope nothing bad will happen and I am excited to read more. |
